Tier numbering[edit]

Are we happy with the numbering of the tiers (mianly 1-championship and 1-regional)? And can we then adjust the league pages with what tier they are in with the current structure? As well as adding this to the 2021 Chatham Cup as seen in other cup competitions around the world? Kezyfooty (talk) 01:12, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kia ora Kezyfooty I'm inclined to disagree with the Championship phase and the regional leagues both being level 1. The Championship is clearly the best of the best. Seems silly when you have teams like Wainuiomata in Central being considered as in level 1 too. You qualify out of the regional phases into the top one, so I'd say they are better as seen as level 2 of the ladder. — NZFC(talk)(cont) 21:49, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello NZFC yes I think that is a fair point. I will make that change now. Do you think we could add the league levels to the Chatham Cup for teams as well? Or do you think it's best not to? Cheers Kezyfooty (talk) 22:36, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kezyfooty sorry that is new to me, do you mean the levels of the teams that enter the cup competition? That would pretty much be any level and actually also includes the Sunday football league in Auckland as well if I'm not mistake? — NZFC(talk)(cont) 22:44, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
NZFC I think I haven't worded that too well. If you look at 2020–21 FA Cup for example, and after each team name there is the number with what tier they are in throughout the country. I believe this is done with most cups around the world. So I was just asking whether you think we should add this or not? (And if we did, for the Sunday leagues would you maybe have it as (SUN) or (S)?). Kezyfooty (talk) 00:43, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kezyfooty that looks like a good idea, would need to make sure we note it and link back to this page showing the different levels.— NZFC(talk)(cont) 02:08, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
