Nileshwaram as Municipality[edit]
Happy to note that Nileshwaram has finally been upgraded to the status of a municipality. So now this article will need special attention. Attention Nileshwaram Wikipedians, Pls provide one skyline image of the Nileshwaram town and update the articles demographic attributes such as current population, literacy percent etc.

Konnakkad[edit]
I have removed references on multiple occasions to a hill station named Konnakkad that is stated to be 35 kilometres (22 mi) from Nileshwaram. To my mind, this means that Konnakkad is in no way related to Nileshwaram, but apparently one editor feels differently. To avoid an edit war, I invite anyone familiar with the topic to chime in and say whether a 35 km distant hill station merits mention here. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:11, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
