Is there really a TV show? I would call it internet radio[edit]

When I found the stub it had only a brief reference to a Finnish TV show by the name.

I have updated with info regarding the webpage and audio.

Similar programme existed earlier[edit]

I remember that in the early 1970's a Latin news bulletin was broadcast on a regular basis by the Finnish World Service. HHahn (Talk) 09:51, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I can find no confirmation of this online. At the time you were less than thirty years old. Were you fluent enough at the time to tell if you were listening to a Latin news broadcast rather than a mass or something, or indeed Latin at all rather than say BBC Mundo? Translation?[edit]

@BenKovitz: are you sure about the translation? Google Translate claims it's just "in Latin" and The Seattle Times says, "News in Latin". Given the number of variations between the sources, I felt it better to leave it out. -- RoySmith (talk) 16:29, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Google Translate is not a reliable source; this StackExchange answer explains why. Nuntii means news; Latini is an adjective modifying it, meaning Latin. Latin usually uses an adjective or adverb naming a language where English would say "in" the language. I'm not an expert in Latin, but I think both human translations are faithful and intended to mean the same thing.
