I agree, indeed, to quote the Italian Wikipedia (it:Orba (torrente))

Il corso d'acqua è caratterizzato da un regime estremamente torrentizio

i.e it’s extremely torrential

It’s a pity to lose the nuance of fiume versus torrente so I’ll move it to Orba (torrente). —Ian Spackman 12:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
