Details of casting timeline[edit]

How so, can you please be specific? It's par for the course for a TV series article to include information about its development, production, and casting per MOS:TV. The article should include real-world information; if not, it's literally just plot summaries. The production section is roughly 135 words, I fail to see how "the level of fancruft detail" is "absurd". I'm also confused by how this is a WP:COI issue? Romantic comedy[edit]

Jim is non-binary?[edit]

There’s that whole exchange where the Swede asks “ So, this whole time you were a woman?” And Jim replies, “Yeah... I guess. I don't know.” It’s a very non-committal response, not the way you’d expect a woman to respond. It is, however, a very classic response for someone who might be agender, non-binary, or uncertain about their gender identity. Additionally, they ask the crew to keep calling them Jim rather than going by their feminine birth name, and don’t correct anyone who uses “they/them” pronouns, but they do correct their Nana regarding their new name.

So while it’s not explicitly stated in-show that Jim is non-binary, it’s heavily implied. And has been confirmed by cast and crew. Vico Ortiz (their actor) is also non-binary and has confirmed Jim’s gender identity in interviews such as this one:

“They’re not trying to act like a man or act like a woman, they just are,”
