The picture with the butterfly[edit]

I'm considering removing the photo with Oxalis orientalis and Chliaria othona recently added by User:Jmgarg1. It's nice, but it doesn't add much about Oxalis, does it? Especially since (a) this insect doesn't appear to have any ecological relationship to Oxalis, and (b) since I can find only one other mention of O. orientalis via Google (as an invasive species in a location in Australia). Is it an accepted name? JöG (talk) 21:59, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed it. JöG (talk) 22:11, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:SHE-CD09.jpg[edit]

The image File:SHE-CD09.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

I've removed the image from the article, since it was completely unnecessary. JoJan (talk) 13:30, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

O. regnellii has three leaflets, not four[edit]

So I'm removing the mention of it being a four-leafed variety. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.180.84.59 (talk) 04:58, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References about Oxalis tuberosa[edit]

I suggest that the Bais, et al. references would be more appropriate on the page for that species (Oca), rather than the page for the entire genus. Perhaps the person who posted them might consider moving them there. Api11aYacheq (talk) 03:12, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
