I'd like to do this one. I think it seems easy enough to review.

Lead and infobox[edit]

  • The singles should be linked
  • The opening sentence should simply be "studio album by American rapper Ice-T." No need to mention his real name. And then change Marrow accordingly in every other spot.
  • I'm pretty sure I'm right, but not 100%: direct quotes I believe require citations, even if in the lead.
  • Released on September 3, 1988, by Sire Records move the comma from the year to after Sire Records.
  • Are these descriptions from the publications describing album themes or the cover? It could mean either to me and remains unclear.
  • Not done, this part was not edited when I looked in the history. When I look in the article, it refers to the album cover. Make it so it is definitely referring to the album and not possibly implying the album itself. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 01:42, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Had to go to my university to log in to those newspaper viewing sites. :) Yeah, they are discussing the cover. Its expanded upon in the second paragraph of "Background and production". Andrzejbanas (talk) 17:00, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • If "gangsta rap" is already cited, isn't "hip hop" redundant in the infobox?
  • Doesn't really bother me either way, but I can removed hip hop. Andrzejbanas (talk) 03:17, 22 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Copyeditors have taught me not to capitalize certifications in text.
  • You should specify Erlewine works for AllMusic, and then remove it where it later appears.
  • ranged from sex, to gun violence move the comma to after "violence"

Background and production[edit]

  • Be back soon for more. Don't really know if I will today, busier than anticipated. When I said "Gone fishing", I meant it, caught a 16" LM Bass, not bad.

If anything looks vaguely described here, just remember that it's in order of how I read it.

  • Put a comma after Rhyme Pays.

  • Gold should be lowercase

  • Replace "got around to" with "began"
Done. Andrzejbanas (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comma after "DJ Evil E's home"
Done. Andrzejbanas (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • No hyphen for set up in this case, just a space
Done. Andrzejbanas (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lose the redlinks
Removed redlinks on Donald D and Hen-Gee. Andrzejbanas (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • The link on Darlene Ortiz should go, it redirects to Rhyme Pays and I'm not even sure if that's an appropriate RD target but we can resolve that another time.
Agreed. Meant to get rid of that earlier. Removed the link for now. Andrzejbanas (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • No need for a hyphen on years old
Removed. Andrzejbanas (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Both singles should be linked here once. Should be linked in the infobox, in the lead if applicable, and first appearance in the body. (actually, that's a bit of a gray area, it's always worked for my articles, however.)
Linked them for now. Andrzejbanas (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Music and lyrics[edit]

Did myself, see the edit summary. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 21:03, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Release[edit]

  • Is a quote ending that paragraph really necessary? Can't you write that in your own words? I can think of several simple ways to do that.
Gave it a shot. Andrzejbanas (talk) 05:17, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • The links to the singles are wrong; you need to click next to display the correct one for "I'm Your Pusher" and previous for "High Rollers". Change the URL accordingly, unless the link is just behaving weird, then just note how to verify it in the ref template.
They seem to be working on my end? Andrzejbanas (talk) 05:17, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Profanity free? You mean clean?
Yes. I'll rephrase that. Andrzejbanas (talk) 05:17, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Certs not in a box should be lowercase
Done Andrzejbanas (talk) 05:17, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reception[edit]

  • Can you take anything from the Rolling Stone album guide?

Conclusion[edit]

Reread this several times the past few days. I see no problems except maybe one that's personally linked to my computer.  Pass dannymusiceditor Speak up! 11:30, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
