"Situational Awareness"[edit]

What is the relation of "Situational_awareness" and presence? Situational awareness measures how well you are aware of the situation around you and presence is how aware you feel that you are of the situation around you. Could presence be defined as subjective view of your situational awareness?Yebbey (talk) 11:49, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Theoretical?[edit]

Isn't telepresence also a technological and practical approach to solving various tasks? Although the concept may be theoretical there are a variety of remote sensing / remote control / simulation applications where the operator of a technological device sees things from a remote POV, controls things from there, or experiences a virtual reality... microsurgery, remote operation of robots, military devices, etc... I'm wondering if the focus of the article might be expanded to cover not only the conceptual work in the field but how people design and understand remote technologies.
