Reason?[edit]

I think the reason needs to be edited or removed. It doesn't really talk about the reason for the show, instead it goes on defending the Pussy Cat Dolls and rumors about them not being able to sing. This article is about the show, not not the pussy cat dolls, or their rumors.

Asia[edit]

The stuff about Asia is very opinionated and should be left neutral. I haven't heard of Asia being the "token black girl" for the group except by angry fans who wanted Chelsea or Melissa in the group. It doesn't even make sense because Melody is black... The part about her using her baby for publicity is also only fan speculation. Parenthood is obviously a big part of her life as it is with many parents, and based on what is seen on the show, it can't be stated as a fact that she wanted sympathy. Other parts about her accent are just plain rude as well. It's not like she can't speak English. Many people speak that way, although it may be funny to joke about it's not something to attack her for. The references need to be checked because most of them don't work so there is no proof of "critics" making these remarks and complaints and so far it has only been angry fans who can't take it that she won.

PCD search[edit]

where do you get the episode information? like how do you know thw next episodes, like Dancin' With the Dolls ?

^i knew the name of the episode because it was on tonight

^It's because on the website, there's always a 'sneak peak' thing with the name and a summary of what happens.

"International airings"[edit]

in America, it is aired on the CW network so maybe someone who has a Wiki account could add that please.......................

GO ASIA and MELISSAR. ! :)

It's INTERNATIONAL Airings. This is an American show, and international is the other countries it's broadcast in. Daphne2992 21:03, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Peformances Table[edit]

Is it just me, or does the table look horrible in it's current form? Maybe it should be rethought. Mizery Made 22:19, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it is confusing and very unorganized...=] Push It Baby!! ..Dats Muh Song!!..=] (Tay) 22:22, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also agree, I am working on a solution and will post a link to it in my sandbox when I've finished it. -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 22:43, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Season 3[edit]

Someone needs to see this. I have searched through google about season 3, and I've never seen an exact interview discussing about season 3. Using the PCD Presents CW lounge is not a 'source,' so people who have been using that info on wikipedia should stop. Regarding that info, I have never seen the article or interview about Robin saying she is looking for a new 'girl group' with a r&b, punk, pop sound to it. If there really is a source about season 3, it should've been put up by now.

Who deleted,,,?[edit]

Hi,

I decided it would be best for the article if it expanded on who the Personalities are. So firstly, I had written about Mark McGrath's purpose on the series (which we know is MCing at the lounge.) And then I wrote about all three judges.

Minutes later, I noticed someone had erased what I had written about McGrath, and reduced it back to a simple "bullet", but added "lead singer of Sugar Rays" which was misspelled.

Any reasons from whoever deleted it? Redsignal 04:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted it at the time because the English was poor and the snippet sounded p.o.v - apologies for the spelling mistake. I have since looked over your other additions, which are awesome, although again I will have to do a wee bit of work with the English and remove p.o.v. material. Melissa Reyes[edit]

Um.. Melissa Reyes is 18.. not 29. Someone pelase correct it. Ladytemp 04:57, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why cant Melissa R. have her own article? :( Madapaka 05:51, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because she doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. PageantUpdater User Talk Review me!

06:05, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

I strongly disagree with you on that one. She has a huge fanbase all over the web, has been featured on several music videos, events... and is Aubrey's June/July's covergirl. If Melissa Reyes doesn't meet the notability criteria, then please delete Asia Nitollano's article, because outside the fact Asia won, she is no more "notable" than Melissa.

Someone please add her back

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melissa_reyes

Just because she has a HUGE fanbase and has been featured in music videos and events, doesn't mean she deserves a page of her own. Basically, she haven't had a big impact in the media for her to be known; Therefore, she doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. Melissa Reyes having a page of her own is like me putting up an article about my big sister who is a back-up dancer and is famous in our home town. -_- (Which is not even true) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kranky Kitten (talkcontribs) 01:09, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Spoiler warning?[edit]

Hey, shouldn't there be a spoiler warning before the 'contestants' section? The series is re-airing here in Britain and I just accidentally discovered who won because this page doesn't warn you before it names the winner.

well actually the series ended so no..=] me + ma sis luv us sum Pretty Ricky!(wat waz dat?) 02:16, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As he said, it's only just airing in Britain now, so there should be a spoiler warning. Or someone might have recorded it. Or whatever. But TV/film outcomes should have spoiler warnings. timrem 02:43, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

it spoils it for australians.[edit]

It spoiled the television show for me because I live in Australia and it is not finished yet! and now I know the winner. Please make this a spoil section and let people know. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.167.11.54 (talk) 09:41, 11 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Season 2[edit]

It was announced at the NY Upfronts that CW said: Also on track to return: potentially "Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll" should a second season format be worked out.

Can the information about season 2 be edited please? It's not been confirmed anywhere that it will be a search for a new group and people are taking this wiki page as a bonafied source for it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gjkooijman (talkcontribs) 15:53, 16 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Actually it has been. See here : http://www.hollywood.com/feature/Whats_New_Pussycat_Doll_Robin_Antin/3468429 Siemgi

Page name changed?[edit]

Why was the page name shortened to just 'Pussycat Dolls Present'? No rationale was given... unless there is something I'm not aware of? Nathanalex 05:12, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did it because the main name is 'Pussycat Dolls Present' as we don't know if Season 2 is gonna keep the "Search for the next Doll" tagline. Thusly we can stick to only one article instead of creating a new page about Season 2 which would be pointless right now.Siemgi

girlesque?[edit]

should there be a possible mention of GIRLESQUE, the trio put together of chelsea, melissa R, nd melissa S. youtube it if you don't believe me.

Re-locking the page?[edit]

I think the page should be locked again to unregistered editers because their have been a lot of hateful/POV'd statements made by some of them. I just did some clean up but I really think it's beginning to get annoying.Siemgi

Asia part 2[edit]

Well the cw made a press conference to officially announce that Asia, is kicked out of the band. soo make a so called "controversy" section or something to make it clear. please and thank you!

here is the proof:

Asia no longer a member of PCD, opts for "solo career".The CW Press Tour was held today. There was confirmation over Asia´s current status."Last year's Pussycat Dolls winner, Asia, has opted to embark on a solo career, which, as one reporter points out, completely defeats the purpose of the show."

She is not actually going to be the next member of the group. However, Ostroff didn't add any fuel to the firestorm of rumors that she was kicked out for not being strong enough of a performer to really be a member of the group. Instead she stated that Asia will be pursuing a solo career. Whether this statement was diplomacy or reality, we won't probably know for some time. This will be, no doubt, a major disappointment to Asia's fans (really? seems like everyone who watched the show hated her) who probably hoped they'd be seeing her soon onstage with an established group. If she is going to be trying to jumpstart a solo career, it could be a while before they have the chance to buy an album or see her live. For other viewers of Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll, this might actually be welcome news. Some internet fan polls indicated that of the final three, Asia was at the bottom of the list for viewers pick for the next Doll. Some didn't like what they perceived to be her bad attitude, while others felt that the other girls had better natural abilities.

The Pussycat Dolls Present?[edit]

Shouldn't this page name be The Pussycat Dolls Present? After all that's what the poster says right there on the articles page... Glen 07:55, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Time for a Chelsea Korka Page?[edit]

Since Chelsea is joining a PCD themed group and has done quite some work outside (and before) the show, I think it's time to give her her own page. If Asia has one then Chelsea deserves one. Siemgi (talkcontribs) 23:48, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This show was such a fix!!![edit]

Not only were 'some scenes' staged for entertainment purposes but the whole show was! The Pussycat Dolls were never genuinely going to have a new member! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.131.106.94 (talk) 21:35, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1.1.2 Contestants and 1.4 After the show[edit]

I really think these sections are unnecessary. If you look at other reality shows like these, they don't give you an explanation about the contestants. Also, these two sections are more like mini biographies of them, while this page is mainly for the show information and stuff. I strongly suggest we do something about these two sections. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.231.68.202 (talk) 02:39, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Split[edit]

I separated the article à la ANTM since season 2 has been given its own article. I've made a few changes to it to fit that. Hope everyone agrees. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Siemgi (talkcontribs) 01:22, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:PCD-Girlicious.png[edit]

Image:PCD-Girlicious.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Season 3: Male Pussycat Dolls Rumor[edit]

I don't know where the information is coming from, but there has been NO interview stating that Season 3 will be about creating for a "male" version of the Pussycat Dolls. I've seen the MOD interview, and Robin asked the FEMALE VJ if she wanted to audition (thus implying she was seeking females for the group). She never once mentioned she would audition males and call it "Pussycat Dogs". I've removed the paragraph until a PROPER citation is given. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.237.194.41 (talk) 00:49, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
