Promotional song versus single[edit]

It is my belief that "Reach for the Stars" is just a promotional single from #willpower because it was not promoted as a single from #willpower and only received a digital release. Also it was released specifically for the landing on Mars and did not have a music video etc. Whilst I agree a music video doesn't necessarily equate to a single confirmation etc. the lack of coverage that the song received and the fact that it was released and recorded specifically for the landing are good indicators that its more of a promotional single. CNN talked about it here being released for the landing, as do News.Com.Au as do HuffingtonPost who admittedly call it a single but don't say its from #willpower. Being released digitally alone is not enough to indicate that a song is a single, it must be promoted as one, it must receive coverage as one. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 16:48, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
