I corrected the name of her mother's village. She came from Sotire in South Albania (close to Greek-Albanian borders), NOT from Sotira in Thessaly. Not that I care about someone of pomak origin, but she said on Jay Leno that she is Bulgarian. And yes, all pomaks ARE Muslim- that is why they are pomaks!evangeline.a (talk) 04:23, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

rita wilson has a bulgarian origins ,not from Greece .

i guess u are wrong...cause she identifies herself as greek-american and is coming to her parents house in greece almost every summer...has she ever come to bulgaria?or maybe has she ever said she is bulgarian-american?i am sure she hasn't!

What she said was: "My mother is Greek and my father is Bulgarian. I am a first-generation American and native Los Angeleno. I was born and raised in Hollywood. I would go to school and be American and then come home and be Greek."[1]

The article mentions that she is Pomak, which means a muslim Bulgarian. Nevertheless they say Hanks converted to Christianity because of Wilson and Wilson is listed among Greek Orthodox people. If she is Pomak then she is muslim...
