In Truman's biography by David Mccullough something is mentioned about faking of strength and toughness tests in steel mills, that was investigated by Truman's committee. It was claimed that the main cause was low grade steel plates sold to army that were as brittle as cast iron. MahdiEynian (talk) 10:36, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
