Broughton Rangers[edit]

Sam Kennedy links to Broughton Rangers which was a rugby league club in Broughton, Greater Manchester, would anyone know whether Sam Kennedy actually played for an association football club in Broughton, Lincolnshire, as he had previously played in Lincolnshire since 1929 for the clubs Scunthorpe & Lindsey United and Brigg Town, and he appears to have resided in Lincolnshire until his death in 1963? It does seem that there was a team in Lincolnshire called Broughton Rangers (see page 65 here, league table from 1929 here) so it must have been this club that Kennedy played for. The football club is not notable enough for its own article though, so I'll just remove the link from the infobox. Cheers for pointing it out, Big Dom 15:22, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
