RE: Greenpeace

Kleuske : Hi there! I jsut saw the notification for conflict of interest. I have just started to learn how to edit with Wiki during a course with an experienced Wiki editor and as my first edit I added an update to the entry on environmental record on this page following on from the previous entries on the Greener Guide to Electronics. The latest version was published by Greenpeace USA on the 17th of October and includes Samsung in the Guide. I tried not to include any bias and presented the score in a similar way to as it was written on the previous guides since 2010. The Guide itself is all based on publicly available information by the company. Thanks in advance and happy to clarify further! Robin Greenpeace (talk) 13:08, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Remember that the article is on Samsung, not Greenpeace. Whatever it says in a Greenpeace publication is secondary at best and irrelevant at worst. Thanks. Kleuske (talk) 13:13, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
Yes of course but this is on the Environmental Record section on Samsung and the Greener Guide has been oft cited for many years, and by many different media and other NGOs as a baseline for evaluating the environmental performance of major technology companies such as Samsung. This edit was an update on the previous versions of the Guide (2010 and 2011 are already cited in this same article). There is also a reference to the Global Ecolabel, the Electronics Take Back Coalition and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index - all other entities mentioned on the Samsung page. Thanks!
