It was ironic that Tara should die just as her credits were put in. She had been a main character for so long and not once had her credits in. Whether or not you could say, "Your shirt . . ." just before you died (after being shot in the chest) I do not know. It may or may not be possible. I also find it ironic that Tara was standing at the right place at the right time to be shot just after she and Willow got back together. If they had woken up maybe a couple of hours later they could have avoided injury. And earlier Dawn had been speaking to them. If they had made breakfast instead of Dawn letting them go back to the bedroom then Tara might have survived. But if Tara had survived then Buffy would've died because Willow couldn't have taken the bullet from her in the later episode. Therefore Buffy would be dead again or Tara would be dead and the season would play out like before.
