The name Sha'r Awatar is othing but Shri Ram Avatar. 'Avatar' or the incaranation of Lord Sri Rama, hero of the great Indian Epic the' Ramayana'. It appears that they migrated from the Himlayan Region- via Patna in the north-east of India to the 'Chera' Kingdom of ancient Kerala on the west coast of India and finaly to the south coast of Yemen- along the famous spice route. The name Himvarite also suggests that this tribe is originally from the Himalayan Region. Their language may also suggest a mixture of an ancient Himalayan language and acient Malayalam. Names of many places and kings also show that they are directly or distantly related to Malayalam. and Sanskrit.
