  1. Per WP:NCSP (section Association football (soccer) 2A), shouldn't this article be titled Sophia Smith (American soccer player) and Sophia Smith (footballer, born 1978) be changed to Sophia Smith (Greek footballer) ?
  2. Sophia Smith should be updated to a disambiguation page (WP:DISAMBIG) that links to all three Sophia Smith articles.
  3. "Born 2000" is not needed in this article title nor the Greek player's article if you read WP:NCSP (section Association Football (soccer) 2A). Hmlarson (talk) 18:35, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

– Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and long-term stats for all three articles that clearly demonstrate Sophia Smith (soccer, born 2000) is WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Hmlarson (talk) 00:46, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - I think the US international has enough long-term significance to promote this article to base name. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:35, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per above - think she's the primary topic and will remain so. SportingFlyer T·C 15:37, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support I'm not sure I have the right to vote in the English Wikipedia, but I understand that the present name is to distinguish her from another famous woman. Anyway, I have no problem with the suggested name, and I'm about to translate a part of this article to the Hebrew Wikipedia. Thank you, Ronavni (talk) 17:13, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Of course you have the right! Welcome. SportingFlyer T·C 18:01, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - not a PRIMARYTOPIC in my view. The test needs to be MUCH higher. GiantSnowman 19:56, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak oppose per long-term significance no PRIMARY.--Ortizesp (talk) 20:22, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong oppose. She may well end up being the most notable soccer player named Sophia Smith, but Sophia Smith (Smith College), the founder of Smith College, has arguably much stronger notability from a historical point of view. Not appropriate to change the 23-year-old soccer player to primary. Cielquiparle (talk) 08:47, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - As Cielquiparle says, the founder of Smith College has a longer-standing record of notability. We aren't just distinguishing her from the other footballer with the same name. In the coming month, we know that people will be looking for the footballer, and they can find her with one more click. In 2025, they might or might not be looking for her. In 2027, they will be looking for her, and will find her with one more click. In 2031, they will be able to find her with one more click. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:46, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - At the moment, in my opinion, it is not PRIMARYTOPIC. It may change upon time. Ampimd (talk) 15:21, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support – since all three articles have existed (February 2021), the 2000 soccer player has had at least 77.5% of the views every month. Since June 2022, it's been over 90.5% in each month. I think this is enough to support a primary topic. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 21:53, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support – think the historical page view stats (even before the ongoing World Cup) shows that she's now the primary topic and her prominence is only likely to grow. Seany91 (talk) 13:32, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
