What is meant by the dragster configuration? I do know that when you remove the outer hull of the cockpit, the corresponding decal for the inner piece (the part that contains all the electronics) is a one seater cockpit. This is probably what you mean by the different scale meaning that this reinterprets the ship to be more like a Y-Wing fighter instead of the much larger self contained starship that the Starbird probably meant to be.
