Background - Citation needed[edit]

In the part 'background' you can find, that Kamekona is affectionately calling Steve 'the big Kahuna'. That's from the End of Episode 3.11 In Episode 3.1 he calls him the 'Great Warrior'.

I'm sorry, I don't know how to edit articles in the english Wikipedia, resp. add Citations, so maybe somebody who knows it, can fic this. Thank You so much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Miriam Sü. (talkcontribs) 21:31, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

@TheDoctorWho I'd hate to start an edit war over notability, so I'm going to ask here. The page does not have any indication that the character is notable whatsoever. Is there any proof that the character is notable? I couldn't find one on Google. Spinixster (chat!) 10:08, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Surely an NYT Opinion piece, an academic paper on McGarrett's "Cold War masclinity", media coverage on McGarrett's impact on other actors, and a section in a university book on pop culture prove notability more than enough to pass WP:GNG? Here's also a quick search on Google Scholar, if you're interested in more. As I said, the article likely needs a lot of work, and needs to focus more on McGarrett from an out of universe perspective, but the sources do exist.
