Consensus/ Removal request for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover series[edit]

I believe that references to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Batman crossover series should be removed from the page as although they feature TMNT characters they were not published by IDW and are not related to the IDW comic series that is the focus of this page. 2A02:C7F:F8BD:F100:71BC:967F:C4A7:8E9 (talk) 16:21, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with removing references to those series. I'm curious whether you think that there should be references to the cartoons and movies featuring TMNT characters on this page? Tepkunset (talk) 21:12, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I say that these crossovers should remain, or in the least listed as "See Also", since they crossovers occured as part of the IDW publication era. To neglect that connection would be somewhat of a disservice for future Wikipedia users. And as for Tepkunset's inquiry - these intermedia references should not be altered, since they provide hints toward past TMNT publications and interesting details to look up. The question becomes is this a catalogue of all IDW-published TMNT series, or an article about the main IDW series and its in-continuity spin-offs? I say the latter. Wikipedia is not a catalogue, and frankly, as the person who started this article, it's always annoyed my that it was hijacked into a catalogue by an edit warring anon early in its existence. We don't need a listing of every TPB of previous publishers' material here. It's not relevant to this series. Nor do we need to list the series that were tie-ins to the 2012 or Rise cartoons.
