Fair use rationale for Image:The Essential Simon and Garfunkel.jpg[edit]

Image:The Essential Simon and Garfunkel.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I have a version of this album with 2 CDs containing 20 tracks each, as listed here: http://www.amazon.de/Essential-Simon-Garfunkel/dp/B0000DI7U7 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.226.124.97 (talk) 17:54, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Extra Track version[edit]

The original track list (before my revisions) appears to have been taken from a version with extra tracks that was released in Australia. I edited the list so that it matched my version of the CD, then looked for another version with extra tracks. I found a link, so I will do my best to incorporate this information; however, my knowledge of Wikipedia's formatting is severely limited and I will likely need someone to clean up behind me. Also, I am not sure if any of my citations would be considered valid, as they are both online stores (Amazon and ARTISTdirect). I will hunt for a better source; however, I do not have the patience to hunt down the credits for each song; would perhaps be easier if someone reverts to the page as it was before my revisions, and I will use that information. *shrug*

-I apologize for the multiple revisions/reverts; I was attempting to restore it to the way it was before my meddling. Will continue to "fix" now. 138.47.125.116 (talk) 06:44, 24 January 2009 (UTC) Rob[reply]

Page Rewrite[edit]

The page has been edited to include information for both the standard release and the Australian release (which contained extra tracks and a different track order) of this album. However, I put it together using ragtag, bastardized bits of code stolen from other articles in an attempt to properly format the article. I would be appreciative if someone with a working knowledge of Wikipedia's formatting codes could look over the article and make any necessary revisions in order to make it more aesthetically pleasing. I can say that after this editing session, I have a new appreciation for those that write entire articles. I would hope that since allmusic is used in the little box (I don't know what it's technically called) for the "Professional Reviews" section, it's fair game as far as using it to cite the Australian track listing. Cheers! 138.47.125.116 (talk) 07:34, 24 January 2009 (UTC) Rob[reply]
