Series 3 Episode Names

Hello - owner of MotoringBox here. I noticed my articles have been cited for The Colombia Special Part 1 & 2 on the list of episodes. Contrary to public belief these are not called "Snap Part 1 / 2" and my articles have never referred to them by that name. I believe "Snap" was taken from an article in The Times written by the show's script editor Richard Porter. He gave an overview of most of the episodes coming up and put a sub-heading before each one... most interpreted those sub-headings being the episode titles. Apologies if I haven't posted this correctly, I've never made any wiki edits before. 14.202.185.53 (talk) 20:33, 22 January 2019 (UTC)

The grand episode

should we do a List of the grand tour episodes page or even give each series a page this page is now 141 bytes and will only get bigger with series 3 Fanoflionking

The correct page would be List of The Grand Tour episodes not List of the grand tour episodes. The page filesize is just under 141kBytes (not bytes!) but we use "readable-prose" as explained at WP:SIZESPLIT. Right now the readable prose is only about 23kB. I reverted your earlier split because it was at the wrong location, was not attributed (see WP:CWW) which is necessary, and there were some other errors: linking to the LoE page, the series overview table is transcluded and not copied etc. I don't oppose a split but it needs to be done properly. --AussieLegend () 18:49, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
I agree that the article should be split, the current page looks messy. Saying that, I don't believe that Fanoflionking is the person to do it. Dyolf87 (talk) 09:40, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

i got a draft do you want to help make any nessicry changes to it Fanoflionking 18:59, 1 January 2019 (UTC) is there any more to do to it i be moving in 48H to let you have time to editFanoflionking 19:26, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

With all due respect, based on the last attempt I don't think you should be splitting articles until you've seen somebody do at least one properly. In any case, we don't need to move a draft. It's an easy enough process to split the article properly, providing the required attribution while doing so. I'm not even sure what happened to your draft as it's now a redirect to an unrelated, empty draft. --AussieLegend () 03:43, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
OK, I've found the draft, which is mysteriously at Draft:List of The Grand Tour (TV series) episodes which is also the wrong title. There are also several other drafts at various places. I've nominated some of them for speedy deletion as they shouldn't exist. I'm not sure how The Grand Tour relates to Ducktales. The actual Grand Tour draft is missing the lead and has multiple referencing errors that need fixing so it's nowhere near ready to become an article. --AussieLegend () 03:55, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
Is this gonna be done then? Episode table is getting increasingly bigger. TheMysteriousEditor (talk) 17:16, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
TheMysteriousEditor, you made be interested in checking Draft:List of The Grand Tour episodes, where I've performed a proper update of the draft. -- /Alex/21 10:07, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
I see no reason why this page can be moved to the mainspace and stop being a draft. TheMysteriousEditor (talk) 12:16, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
Agreed. -- /Alex/21 14:37, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
Let's do it then. And can delete the matching info on this page aside from the episode overview table. TheMysteriousEditor (talk) 15:30, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
If there is no opposition to the article, I'll go ahead and move it. -- /Alex/21 00:00, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
There doesn't appear to be - go for it. TheMysteriousEditor (talk) 20:18, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
 Done -- /Alex/21 03:14, 11 February 2019 (UTC)

W. Chump and Sons merge suggestion

W. Chump and Sons article about is a small company (less than 30 employees) solely involved in activities connected with The Grand Tour. The article is full of trivia such as who its lawyers and property agents are, how much it rent its pays and that it has an Articles of Incorporation which is bog-standard for any company. Propose it be merged into this article without the puffery, although the key facts already appear to already be there. Cokoshyne (talk) 03:37, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Support as per nom. For all its wordiness, the article doesn't actually have much to say so two or three sentences in this article will suffice. Liam McM 21:01, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

Support as per nom. Lots of this can be compressed into the single TGT article very easily. MBihun (talk) 17:24, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

Video game

we should put in a section about the video game.Fanoflionking 18:28, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

No. Either make an article for the game itself or leave it alone. Since when are video-game tie-ins included in main articles? They're not. - Dyolf87 (talk) 17:49, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
Mention of a tie in game or other media is common. It is included for that reason, though any further detail should go to a separate article if the game proves notable. --Masem (t) 17:51, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Support - I do this for one good reason. It is merchandising tied into the programme, and therefore there is no reason not to include mention of the game. But an article for it, is also a recommendation in that respect. GUtt01 (talk) 15:19, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

Do we really need to discuss the video game's reviews in this article if they're discussed in The Grand Tour Game? – Dyolf87 (talk) 08:29, 31 March 2019 (UTC)

Merged, after 5 months consensus is unanimous. Jeistuper (talk) 09:40, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
