FOX Production codes[edit]

For the LEGO Masters and Masked Singer shows, I have noticed that their Wikipedia use the production codes given by FOXFLASH. As that is an official source, wouldn't that be allowed to use? Also the codes are almost never wrong, Fox always is correct with the codes and those numbers filed by 20th century Fox end up being the actual codes later see reference [here https://cocatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?Search_Arg=PA0002231015&Search_Code=REGS]. The only one I know that isn't correct is NBC as they label the episodes by airing order. Orange Mo (talk) 05:03, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also at Wikia, they use the codes as sources. Orange Mo (talk) 05:11, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Again, they do not explicitly say those are the production codes in which this is considered to be WP:SYNTH, a part of WP:OR. WP:SYNTH states: Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources. Similarly, do not combine different parts of one source to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by the source. Yet, you are combining different parts of one source to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by the source. Also, this isn't Wikia, so guidelines and policies maybe different. — YoungForever(talk) 06:12, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
LEGO Masters uses the official Fox production codes on their Wikipedia page. Thus it should be okay that we use the official ones given by FOXFLASH as well. Orange Mo (talk) 06:19, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What part of WP:SYNTH you don't understand? Fox non-reality TV series usually have production codes at end credits of of each episode when they have been aired. WP:NOHURRY. The Futon Critic and FoxFlash codes of FOX non-reality TV series do not match the production codes of end credits of each episode. You are still combining different parts of one source to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by the source. — YoungForever(talk) 06:50, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
They just state them differently. The last numbers always do match what they say. I've checked previous listings and they are always correct. We could also use BOB-923 as an example until the actual one appears as well. There's nothing wrong with that. This is not SYNTH. These are taken from official sources. I've been editing wikis for a long time and I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. You're free to disagree with me here and I'm not gonna worry about this anymore because clearly you guys are stuck up your own asses. Orange Mo (talk) 22:35, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What you said They just state them differently. The last numbers always do match what they say. I've checked previous listings and they are always correct. We could also use BOB-923 as an example until the actual one appears as well. It is absolutely WP:SYNTH. You are now combining material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the source. — YoungForever(talk) 22:44, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Production Codes[edit]

A discussion on production codes announced on the Catalog of Copyright Entries is being held on the Bless the Harts talk page. You are welcome to join the discussion and share your thoughts. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 19:55, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion on updating recurring characters[edit]

What determines a recurring character.

The only person in the recurring character entry is Jerry Shaw, he starred in 1 episode in Season 1, and 1 episode in season 2, with several cameos and mentions, but I think we need to expand this.

We should expand this as there are many recurring characters that appear several times in the season.

Ham & Judy's Friends, namely Drama John, Bethany, Kima, Gill, Amelia, and Crispin appear as background characters and are featured regularly in Season 2, should be in the Recurring Character Field. Alyson should also be in the recurring character field as similar to Ham & Judy's Friends, episodes can focus on her, but she is not one of the main cast. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:4451:8E3:2300:94F0:6DCC:F064:D803 (talk) 12:05, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Recurring is 4+ episodes. — YoungForever(talk) 00:35, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
