Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Sarahj2107 (talk) 14:05, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Premise[edit]

Could someone please add a fully detailed plot section? The movie has reached theaters at this point, so the details would be considered reliable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.126.255.22 (talk) 21:30, September 22, 2017‎ (UTC)

Please be patient. The movie has just been released, and IMO might take a day or two after its release to add a full plot summary, and maybe even more to make sure it accurately summarizes the whole entire movie. I unfortunately have no plans to watch the movie, so someone else may need to add it. theinstantmatrix (talk) 21:47, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well then, could you at least place a template stating that the section requires expansion? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Znelson2 (talkcontribs) 13:21, September 23, 2017 (UTC)
Added to the plot section of the article. theinstantmatrix (talk) 14:07, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A young boy ventures into an old relic shop, where he meets it's mysterious owner. The owner begins to tell the boy the legend of Ninjago. Ninjago is a city that is frequently attacked by the evil Lord Garmadon. He is unfortunately the father of Lloyd Garmadon and husband of Koko. The city despises Lloyd for this relationship, which puts Lloyd in emotional stress. They do not no that Lloyd is part of the secret ninja force, consisting of Nya, Zane, Jay, Cole, Kai and their master, Master Wu. That always have to stop Garmadon from taking over. On Lloyd's birthday Garmadon attacks the city once again, only to be defeated. He escapes and begins to form a big attack to conquer Ninjago. He fires many of his generals in the process, finally deciding upon building a gigantic mech.

Meanwhile Lloyd and his friends see the return of Master Wu, back from his long trip. Master Wu tells them they aren't real ninjas if they use only mechs and machines. He discusses with Lloyd that he is the green element, only to be confusing Loyd with that topic. Master Wu tells Lloyd he must not be angry at Garmadon, he must use his mind to fight. Wu mentions of the Ultimate weapon, giving Lloyd an idea to finally defeat Garmadon once and for all. Wu explains that Lloyd is forbidden to use it, he has the wrong hand for it. The next day Garmadon attacks the city with his giant mech. He successfully defeats Lloyd and his mech. As Garmadon declares his rule over Ninjago, Lloyd returns with the Ultimate weapon. He fires it, revealing it to be a laser. It turns out to be a beacon to attract the unstoppable beast, Meowthra. Meowthra starts destroying the city, while trying to get the laser. Garmadon gets the laser and makes the cat destroy the other mechs. Lloyd watches in horror and fights back, he breaks the laser in the process. As Garmadon celebrates his victory, Lloyd reveals that he is the green ninja. He tells Garmadon that he wishes he wasn't his father, leaving Garmadon speechless.

Lloyd meets up with his friends and Master Wu. They are all upset with him for using the weapon. Wu tells them they must use the Ultimate, Ultimate weapon to stop Meowthra from destroying the city. They must cross the Forest of Dangers, The Canyon of Death, and the Temple of Fragile foundations. Garmadon overhears Wu talking about the weapon and follows close behind. He meets up with Wu and fights him, only to end up in a cage, defeated. However Wu loses his balance and falls of a bridge, telling Lloyd he must use inner peace. The ninjas decide to continue on, with Garmadon much to Lloyd's disappointment. They are caught by Garmadon's former generals, who want revenge. The ninjas try to fight but are easily defeated, they retreat leaving Lloyd and Garmadon behind to be caught by the generals. The generals begin to fire Lloyd and Garmadon into a volcano, however the rest of the ninjas save the day using stealth fighting. They all work together with Garmadon to escape the angry generals.

They eventually crash down onto the temple of Fragile Foundations. Garmadon reveals that it is his home, as well as Koko being a ninja warrior herself. He reveals to Lloyd that he wishes he stayed with him and his mom, but he couldn't change so he had to stay behind. The ninjas find the Ultimate Ultimate weapon, only to have it stolen by Garmadon who still wants to take over the city. He wants Lloyd to be his general, but Lloyd rejects his offer. Out of fury Garmadon locks all of them in the temple as it begins to collapse. Lloyd realizes that they all must unleash their power within. They successfully do this, escaping from the collapsing temple. As they fall of a cliff Wu saves them with his ship, and they head towards Ninjago. Garmadon tries to stop Meowthra with the weapons but it doesn't work. Meowthra eats Garmadon instead. Lloyd and crew arrive and begin fighting Garmadon's army. As Lloyd approaches the cat, he reveals to everyone that he is the green ninja. He realizes that green means life, it brings everything together. He comforts the cat, and tells Garmadon he forgives him, and that he's sorry. Garmadon cries tears of fire, which causes the cat to spit him out. As the story concludes the owner of the shop tells the boy that he will train him tomorrow. 184.207.249.178 (talk) 20:35, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the full plot summary. I have added it to the section and removed the tag. Someone else, who have watched the movie, may wish to make plot/typo corrections as an autoconfirmed/confirmed user; otherwise, they can make an edit request on the talk page. Again, thanks! theinstantmatrix (talk) 20:57, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Production Company[edit]

Was RatPac Entertainment involved in the production of The Lego Ninjago Movie? If so, it should be added to the article.

Production companies in the infobox[edit]

An IP editor is repeatedly blanking sourced content and changing what a source says. In particular, this edit blanked Animal Logic, which is credited by Variety Insight, the source cited in the infobox. It also changes "Warner Bros. Pictures" to "Warner Animation", which is not in the source cited. It is obvious that Variety considers these to be the production companies; it seems disruptive to me to continually change this sourced content. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 00:42, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The BFI credit three production companies: i) Lin Pictures; ii) Lord Miller; iii) Vertigo Entertainment. I would suggest that those three companies are included since they are credited as production companies.Warner Animation Group is not credited at all in any capacity and is not sourced so should not be included. RatPac Entertainment is credited as a copyright-holder and as an associate producer, so it is WP:Original research to interpret this credit as a "production company" without a source, so this company should be removed. Warner Bros. Pictures is credited as a "Presenter" while Animal Logic is credited for the animation; Variety are obviously interpreting them as a production companies but it is not clear why. If Variety is an outlier in regarding them as production companies I would agree with removing them, but if other reputable sources consider them a production company then they should be listed here. It is worth noting that production companies don't always get a "production company" credit; if they do then fine, include them, but if not then we must let secondary sources do the interpreting for us. AFI doesn't have this cataloged, which limits the number of data points. AllMovie says "Lego Systems A/S, Lin Pictures, Lord Miller, Vertigo Entertainment". For what it's worth, here's a press release. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 01:47, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
ScreenDaily lists the following: Village Roadshow Pictures, Ratpac-Dune Entertainment, Lego System A/S, Vertigo Entertainment, Lin Pictures. The official website refers to it as "a Lin Pictures/Lord Miller/Vertigo Entertainment Production". Given the lack of agreement I think I would be tempted to just go with the companies explicitly credited as production companies i.e. Lin, Lord Miller and Vertigo. Betty Logan (talk) 02:38, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If nobody sees anything else, maybe we should just go with what you said. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:56, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sets of the Lego Ninjago Movie[edit]

Can I add the list of the sets in this page? Oon835 (talk) 13:23, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Animation Type[edit]

The Lego Ninjago Movie is also stop motion/computer animation hybrid. --2603:6000:8D00:92AA:148A:9552:6899:4D20 (talk) 15:50, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect. Please read the production details. It is not a good idea to ask the same question on multiple article talk pages. -- 109.79.94.23 (talk) 04:21, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
