{{copyedit}} probably isn't quite right but "Give us power, the nation state said, and we will improve your material well-being." is a direct quote. we can change that sentence but I am afraid a lot of this is a restating of what the book says. maybe only minor re-do's are needed. skank-L juice 13:50, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
