I've just started this page as a place-holder: if no-one else updates it beforehand I'll add more info as I get time to read the books again... haven't read them since the early 90s and have bid on a full set on ebay :).
Plot overview[edit]
I've started adding a one-paragraph summary of each book as and when I get a chance to read them: when it's complete it can be cut down into something more coherent, unless anyone else wants to start doing that in the mean-time. Unfortunately my current collection is missing several books near the start and at the end, so completion is largely reliant on books turnig up used for a sensible price.
