The article states that this film will show Leatherfaces first chainsaw killling. Does this mean first killing in chronological order, filmwise? If I remember correctly, Leatherface killed Franklin with a chainsaw in the original movie. Can anyone clarify this? 08:05, 20 August 2006 (UTC)12.75.233.204

Well, these films have been made as if the previous TCM films never existed, just like what's being done now with the Batman franchise. The film shows both his first murder, which isn't committed with a chainsaw, and his first murder with a chainsaw. Odin's Beard 00:14, 7 October 2006 (UTC) But the article simply says "leatherfaces first chainsaw killing" meaning the person not the series so in this case the article would be wrong in saying so unless it stated this continuity issue.

Based on a True Story

Removed this section as there was no citation, and a search on the name "Timmy Valecoree" led right back to this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.116.58.60 (talk) 01:54, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for removing it. It's definitely fake. For the record, the only "true" story that Texas Chainsaw Massacre is based off is that of Ed Gein, who had little in common with Leatherface besides living in Texas and making clothes out of skin and objects out of other body parts.--CyberGhostface (talk) 03:19, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Ed Gein was from Wisconsin, not Texas. Rubinia (talk) 19:55, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Deaths Section

Please do not Re-Add the deaths section! It is unencyclopediac! If you want to know who dies and how try IMDB or a fan site! Or just create a large plot and detail them there. Jamesbuc

The death section is a section on alot of horror movie articles, and it is encyclopedic. Its part of the plot, just not in the same section, which it has no reason to be in the same section as the plot in the first place. --  Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  21:33, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
It is NOT encyclopediac at all. Various other death lists have also been deleted for the same reason by many different people. It seems very fancrufty and could be placed/found in the plot section or in IMDB and not here! Wikipedia is not a fansite. Jamesbuc
Now really, was that response worth using an exclamation point for? --75.2.60.123 07:15, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Trivia

Many of the smaller points brought up in the trivia section, mostly the Amazing Grace reference, the chainsaw explanation, and the Fangoria award should be deleted or moved to another section. The general statement of an "award" is not encyclopaedic, it just doesn't mean anything. I'm removing/moving them, feel free to change it back you have a reason to do so.JohnnyRush10 09:47, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Alternate Ending

I heard that this movie have 2 ending... Is it true?? If it is true, should we add the sypnosis of 2 different ending in the spoiler??

The DVD had a couple of alternate endings, but nothing were really different...they were all just variations on Jordana Brewster's death.--CyberGhostface 16:57, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Plot summary

The plot summary of this article needs to be bulked out a bit. I have only ever seen the first half of the film, so I'll leave the summarising to someone who has seen it all the way through. --Legis (talk - contribs) 16:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

If you expland, then please abide by the guidelines regarding plots. A good examples is Halloween (1978 film), as it's of the same genre. There does not need to be a lot of details. Try and keep it around 600 words, at best.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 16:51, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

I've been trying to scale the Plot Summary down a bit especially considering there is an incredible amount of subjective crap stuck in it. I'm also not sure where the original authors learned how to write English as most sentence structure is horrible. Tronner (talk) 23:35, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

3rd alternate ending

I seemed to have noticed while watching the last one that the blonde girl in the car bears striking similiar resemblence to the one in the beginning of the remake of the TCM (shoots herself in the car). Was this ever confirmed, and should it be added to the article? - Crazyconan (talk) 05:51, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't think it is.--CyberGhostface (talk) 13:42, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
