I have been in recent contact with the author, Thomas Perry, and have determined that he has never written any short novel(s) under the title of "The Aleks Investigations". I had previously searched various book outlets including LoC and was unable to locate any reference to this series. Additionally, the ISBN's listed for Butcher's Boy and Metzger's Dog" were in conflict with the actual date of release. For collector accuracy and Wiki correctness, I have listed both ISBN's, the original and the reprint with their correct dates. I have a e-mail from the author giving me the correct data. I have deleted the reference to "The Aleks Investigations" Ekotkie (talk) 19:26, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

After being unable to find a photo of the author, I emailed the contact information at http://www.thomasperryauthor.com/ asking for one to post in this entry. I received a reply from someone named "Jo Perry" who seems to be affiliated with the author. He sent me a photo that he has the copyright to and agreed to donate one to the project. I uploaded it over at Wikimedia and posted it to this article. Thanks to both Mr. Perrys! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jgee84 (talkcontribs) 18:59, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can determine, Thomas Perry has not written any books featuring Otto Penzler. The book Silence features detective Jack Till [1]. I am merging the "Otto Penzler" table into the "Jack Till" table. Dmearns (talk) 18:58, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
