Hops[edit]

The three Thornbridge beers I have tried (Wild Swan, Kipling, Jaipur), while quite different, all have a distinctive flavour in common. I suspect it is caused by the hops they use. Do these three use the same hops? What hops? Maproom (talk) 20:52, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

According to a bottle of Kipling, its contents is brewed using "exclusively ... Nelson Sauvin" hops. If that is what causes the characteristic taste of all three above-mentioned beers, I think it's worth a mention in the article. I wonder if a beer bottle is a "reliable source" for WP's purposes? Self Promotion/edits[edit]

This wikipage has been regularly updated with an IP address with a reverse DNS lookup of mail.thornbridge.co.uk (amongst other updates from the same geographical location). Several important details about the company have been hidden/not revealed, including most tellingly/importantly; the owners of the company (Emma and Jim Harrison - most famous for A4E and the scandals therein).

The page was already highlighted as being an advertisement before this discovery. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bullblade (talkcontribs) 11:49, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have reduced the promotional content, which is not suitable for an encyclopedia. It would be more interesting to know what hops they use. Maproom (talk) 07:42, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The promotional content, already too high, continues to rise. A purge is overdue. Maproom (talk) 08:38, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed more of the promo stuff. Left the unsourced beer list but see no reason it shouldn't be deleted. Ed1964 (talk) 23:34, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
