Episode 2[edit]

In Episode 2's news segment, May quipped, "We no longer have Dresden Cathedral." I'm surprised the anorakish May got this doubly wrong: The famous church that was destroyed in a WWII bombing raid was the Dresden Frauenkirche -- not the seat of a bishop and thus not a cathedral.[1] And the Frauenkirche has since been rebuilt, so "we" do have it (again). 31.16.112.242 (talk) 20:33, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ Unlike the British twin city counterpart, Coventry Cathedral, which is a proper cathedral. However, while the ruins of the old one still exist, a new cathedral has since been built and is the present Coventry Cathedral.

Episode 2[edit]

Richard score should have been 34 not 39. (5 for getting our of Lucca, 10 for the hunt, 14 for the number of people and 5 for the race) 202.156.10.13 (talk) 13:41, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I actually dislike the end of that episode. Clarkson and May were really cruel to Hammond, making sure that he scored 0. However, Hammond does get his own back in a later episode (not from this series) and Clarkson is the one who loses points for breaking a rule which the producers said nothing about in advance of the challenges. Also, I've removed the India Special from this episode list. The India Special is part of Series 18, not Series 17. High Orbit (talk) 16:19, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Episode 5[edit]

The 'Interceptors' segment is more like a parody of those slightly cheesy 'crimebuster' dramas that were a staple of UK television in the late 60s/early 70s, such as 'The Persuaders' or 'Jason King'. Halmyre (talk) 07:29, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
