I changed the information on Mark Duggan from unlawfully killed to lawfully killed as that is what the investigation found. Citations for gang names[edit]

There are a number of gangs mentioned without any references. This is particularly unacceptable in an article associated with crime and I will remove any such links. Please only include reliable sources or give a link on this page. JRPG (talk) 10:01, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a reference from the Guardian and replaced a dead link from www.londonstreetgangs.com but note several links are now dead.

The list of gangs appears on www.rtbot.net, a site quoting Wikipedia but otherwise I am unable to find a reliable source. If you can find one, put it on the talk page and we can add the info.

Peckham Boys seems at first glance to be a good example of aa properly cited article. JRPG (talk) 12:01, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've cut the article back to gangs actually mentioned by sources. It looks as if the long list of "fifty affiliated sets" joke names has been IP edit-warred back into place for years. The very first 2009 version of the article lists only "over a dozen affiliated sets", with no sources, if anybody wants to try salvaging that. --McGeddon (talk) 15:53, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The London streetgangs] website picks up stories from wp:RS like the Evening Standard and hence is potentially useful. Glad to see the back of unreferenced material. Vandalism on this of all pages is potentially libellous and if we get many more 'jokes' we could request semi-protection. JRPG (talk) 13:18, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Someone majorly screwed up the article. The gang is described as petty (which it ain't) and the last sentence states that they have a rivalry with the Backstreet Boys. POV[edit]

NPK-SinSquad link[edit]

[1] This might cover the link between NPK and SinSquad, though the only link between the two is hashtags used in an Instagram story; because of this, anything mentioning a link between the two while citing this would probably be OR as far as I know. Hashtag is too flimsy but the Sky News article is possibly sufficient for indicating Sin Squad is an alias of NPK (e.g "NPK, also known as Sin Squad, ..."). It's not the best source (it's essentially just reporting something a random redditor made, hard to say how accurate it is) but it's better than anything else offered up so far. It might be WP:SYNTHESIS to suggest they make music under the name SinSquad. I missed that article, it doesn't come up if I google "NPK" "SinSquad" for some reason (I guess the slash might be confusing google). Also, I apologise for any irritation caused @BurudaKidd:, I recognise you're passionate about this topic and are acting in good faith. I know how annoying it is to deal with reversions.
