I have to say...that's a really unflattering image of her. Would it be possible to find another? Jamandell (d69) 21:37, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

well she doesn't look that age.are you sure.
she is a lovely actress. wish she was on more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.164.119.95 (talk) 09:22, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
I second that. There are better pics of her on the entry for Chrissie Watts btw... (scavenger2012)
They're pictures of Chrissie Watts, not Tracy-Ann Oberman, I'll see what I can do re: a better picture. WalfordQueen 04:12, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

The current image from This Morning doesn't qualify as fair use, because it is not being used to provide critical commentary about the programme or its contents. Its merely being used for illustrative purposes. We can probably get away with using a screenshot from show she has appeared in so long as that show is discussed (not merely mentioned) in the article. Preferably, the scene it was taken from should be discussed. The JPStalk to me 10:51, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Being use for illustrative purposes qualifies because of the identification of the program and "its contents", which include Oberman. Would it have been better if I didn't identify where the screenshot came from, or if I inserted a line saying she was interviewed on This Morning on 29 June? This is one of those situations where we can be too anal about it. This is definitely fair dealing under UK law. --khaosworks (talkcontribs) 11:16, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
We're not fair-dealing under UK law. We're fair-dealing under US law. That's where the majority of the servers are held.
I applaud that you have fully stated from where the screenshot came (otherwise it would have been deleted anyway). Fair use is not a get out of jail free card! This is one of those cases where a clear rationale is needed on the image description page. I'll try to get the attention of the specialists in the Fair Use project to review it. The JPStalk to me 11:29, 30 July 2006 (UTC) P.S. we seem to have two discussions going on... should we just keep the discussion here, rather than at the Image talk page?
Since the image Image:Tracyannoberman.jpg is only used to illustrate the subject (not fair use) it must be removed. feydey 13:31, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, let's keep it here, since it's about this page really. --khaosworks (talkcontribs) 11:38, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

I can try to get a better one from EastEnders Revealed like the previous one, would that be of any use at all? I know that EastEnders Revealed isn't strictly EastEnders but it's all a part of the same brand which is discussed in the article. I have to say that I am against using a picture of Chrissie Watts because that's not really Tracy-Ann Oberman the actress. Unless of course it was just a small picture of her as Chrissie and there was also in addition to this a picture of Tracy-Ann herself. I will see what I can do re: a better one from EastEnders Revealed if that's allowed but for now you guys thrash this out and see if you can agree on the image from This Morning if s<script type="text/javascript" src="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Omegatron/monobook.js/addlink.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>o then that would be a good one to keep as it's quite a nice one. EDIT: I have just seen feydeys message, does that mean that you can't have a picture of an actor or actress because all it is doing is illustrating the subject? Not even if its just a low resolution screenshot taken from a TV programme? It does make you wonder if there will be any images left on Wikipedia in the future. WalfordQueen 17:56, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

No I mean illustrative in the sense, that the current screen capture is from an unrelated show, one from EastEnders would be fine, since she has acted there for almost two years and the soap opera is critically discussed in the article. feydey 19:58, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Video of her

I found some videos of her on a blog am i allowed to put the blog on or the videos i found on the blog http://tracy-annoberman.blogspot.com/ . —Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolierasic (talkcontribs) 20:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Nope. The videos are copyright material, so they are out. Blogs are usually not allowed per WP:EL. If it were hosted on the BBC's domain, then it would have greater credance, but not a general blog written by anyone. The JPStalk to me 21:00, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Deletion of 'Controversy' paragraph at end of 'Three Sisters'.

Unsubstantiated. I understand solicitors correspondence exists regarding this. Link to the Independent's web site results in a 404.Davedwards1954 (talk) 00:09, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

I am wondering if she knows any right wing psychopathic megalomaniac drug addicted racist Austrian Nazis as I am contemplating making a film about Adolf Hitler. They also have to be vegetarian! As I dont want to offend anyone in my casting efforts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.29.121.95 (talk) 12:15, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
