Clarity on (re)-release date[edit]

Hello Flabshoe1, I see here with no edit summary you've changed the song from "song" to "single" and also claimed that it was re-released on 2 February 2024, furthermore your statement was not cited to any (reliable) source. And Cybertrip, I also noticed that here you've also removed content cited to a reliable source and also claimed that the song was re-released as a single accompanied by its visuals, and you also failed to cite a source to your statement. According to this source, Tyla took to social media to announce that "Truth or Dare" will be released on 1 December 2023, so which sources did the both of you cite from stating that the song was re-released as a single? As far as I know, only "On and On" was re-released as a single by A COLORS SHOW. Before I proceed to revert your edits, please do list the source(s) to your statements Thank you. dxneo (talk) 21:00, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I don’t know about On and On, but Truth or Dare was officially released as Tyla’s second single and sent to US rhythmic radio, as confirmed by Hits here: https://m.hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=339764 Flabshoe1 (talk) Flabshoe1 (talk) 21:42, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Flabshoe1, beside the fact that your source is not reliable, it also does not say anything at all about the reissue of the song. About "On and On", here is the single version before it was added into the album. And again, Cybertrip why did you replace this reliable source with this source? It looks like a Nigerian source and most Nigerian sources are said to be COI, replacing a reliable source is not the way to go. Unless good sources are brought forward, I will revert your edits Thank you. dxneo (talk) 10:02, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hits magazine is a reliable source accepted by Wikipedia and used on pages such as Is It Over Now? by Taylor Swift to prove that a song is a single. By the “reissue” of the song, it means the song was initially released as a song, then was sent to rhythmic radio and became a single.Flabshoe1 (talk) 10:14, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Flabshoe1, again, there is no source verifying your statement, Hits is not listed here (WP:RSMUSIC) and is not a green source so I don't know which Wikipedia accepted the source 'cause it was never assessed. And your source was published on 13 February 2024 and also does not say anything about this song being released on 2 February 2024. Please do bring sources forward before I undo your edit(s). dxneo (talk) 12:19, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see you recently changed the dates to 13 February, which questions the stability of your "facts". dxneo (talk) 12:21, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am making sure that the page is in line with the official source, which state the song was released to radio in 13 February. If I may ask, what will you revert the page to? Before my edits, the song was not listed as a single. Will you revert it back to a non-single? Flabshoe1 (talk) 14:18, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Flabshoe1, there's no such thing as an official source, and yes I will revert it back to a song 'til further sources stating that it was re-released and it is a single are brought to light. If we were to say an "official source" then Tyla herself announced the release date of the song on her Instagram and Twitter (1 December; along with the digital EP). No one ever said anything about 2 February and 13 February or whatever date you're gonna jump to next. If it helps, you may do the honors of changing back dates and song type Thank you. dxneo (talk) 15:22, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

With all due respect Cybertrip, but this is pure nonsensical, the infobox is saying that the song was released on 13 February but the release history says otherwise, worse part is that the information on the cited sources of the release history details does not match the information provided on this site. If the song was released on 29 February in "various" countries and on 1 March in the United States then on which part of earth was it release on 13 February and where was it released on 1 December 2023? If you can't find sources to back your claims please revert your edits and stop misleading the readers as this page had approximately 11,000 visiters in the past 30 days. And the music video information you added was clearly unnecessary since it is already added under the music video section. dxneo (talk) 00:57, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hiiii Dxneo :) Sorry I honestly got the dates wrong in the table-- that's totally my bad so thank you for bringing it up (I copied the table format from a different article and forgot to change it)!! And then regarding the music video info that I added in the start, the WP:LEAD section is just meant to "a summary of [the] most important contents" of the article, so the repetition is on purpose. Let me know if you have any more queries and hopefully we can sort it out. Have a wonderful evening :) cybertrip👽 ( 💬📝) 14:49, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
