Uninvited was Number One? When? Maybe on side billboard charts, but not on the main chart (the hot 100) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by OmegaWikipedia (talk • contribs) 03:22, 30 June 2005.

According to the All Music Guide, this song did hit number 1 on Billboard's mainstream Top 40 chart. Whether that constitutes the Hot 100 is beyond me, though.

The Mainstream Top 40 chart isn't the Hot 100. "Uninvited" did reach number one on the ARC Weekly Top 40, so I've refined the category to reflect that. Extraordinary Machine 15:03, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WTF!?[edit]

Why is it mentioned in the first section that Lea Michele will cover the song on the first episode of glee? WTF? How is that so relevant that it's in the very first section? The key of Uninvited[edit]

According to various sources, including hooktheory and most other sources giving the key explicitly, the key is D mixolydian rather than G melodic minor (some of the sources just say D major, though). Plus, on a more music theory related note, the song spends most of its time on D, D7, or Dmaj7, and resolves on D rather than Gm, so it would be more consistent for Gm to be the iv chord and D the I chord rather than having Gm the i chord and D the V chord. 2600:1700:C80:AC10:9D9C:C58B:DE0:FE8A (talk) 21:54, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Apart from the first chord of the chorus, I just don't hear teh mixolydian. The flat 6 in teh Gm chord means it can't be mixolydian, as does the C# at the end of the chorus. Honestly don't know how to describe the key though! 103.212.55.226 (talk) 23:57, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thinking more on it, I'd say it is in D Harmonic Major in the verses, with a modulation to to G Major in the first half of the chorus before going back to D Harmonic Major in the third bar of the chorus. 103.212.55.226 (talk) 01:07, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
