"mental damages"[edit]

At least in British English, "damages" in the plural means financial recompense for suffering inflicted by another person. What is surely meant here is "mental damage" (singular) - although it could be argued that Lafferty, having committed the crime he did, was already mentally damaged to an extreme degree.213.127.210.95 (talk) 21:18, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Primarily?[edit]

What is the basis to say that Under the Banner of Heaven is primarily based on interviews with Dan Lafferty? Altogether, the directly Lafferty-related material makes up perhaps a third of the book, and much of that is not based on interviews with Dan Lafferty. - Jmabel | Talk 02:30, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
