Nikki Snelson[edit]

The character played by Nikki Snelson was recast. Her related entry has been deleted from Wiki. It needs to be either restored or the link removed. Burning Off?[edit]

CW announced that the canceled series would return on Sunday, June 28 to begin burning off the remaining unaired episodes

This is slang not generally understood. What does 'burning off' mean? Broadcast?Centrepull (talk) 01:00, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I never thought it was slang. I thought it was an industry term. 'Burning off' episodes is when already completed episodes are shown after a series has been cancelled with no concern about the ratings and no intent towards making more episodes, often during off-peak times of day or year. In this case 13 episodes were ordered, 8 were completed, but only 4 were shown before the series was cancelled. The remaining 4 completed episodes where later shown, or burned off, during the following summer rather than leaving them unaired. δεʟɪʀɪοuς & ʟoςτ ☯ ^~нuɢѕ~ 09:20, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
