Title

Voice actor - horrible phrase. Voiceover artist or vocal artiste is more common in my experience. Jooler 00:06, 30 September 2005 (UTC)

"Voice actor" is most definitely NOT a "horrible phrase." It has become THE most commonly-used and preferred title for a voiceover performer. And there's no need to tag it with "voice actress" either as "actor" is the preferred, gender-neutral term used throughout the entertainment industry.

"Voice actor" should stand as is. Alternate terms/titles used by professional voice actors include:

voice talent voice-over actor (or voiceover actor)

And "Vocal artiste" sounds pompous and presumptuous if you ask me. I've NEVER heard a professional voice actor refer to themselves in that way in 20+ years I've been following the work of voice actors, and working as one as well. Voiceroy (talk) 21:43, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Voiceroy
