Knight!!!!!![edit]

In standard English "knight" is not used as an honorific or as a form of address. The use of Sir for a non-British knighthood is disputed. Those who really want to know should apply to the College of Arms. Chevalier is acceptable, although many Flemish speakers would probably object. I'm altering the page to Chevalier. Upon further reflection, and after consulting the Wikipedia article about Knighthood and the section on Knighthoods in the Netherlands and Belgium, I conclude that it is probably alright to use the honorific "Sir". Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 21:54, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
