This article was tagged with "Proposed deletion" in Dec 2010 for nonnotability. I will remove this because subject seems notable enough if he was the first yurt builder in N. America, as stated in article. Also, I see from google that he is an author and has received at least one award, a "Nautilus Book Award" (not Nautilus Award) in 2004. Some site had quotes by him.
