The following was removed from the article as it is too much information on Robert and his son for inclusion as a child of William.

Robert held lands in Cornwall. In 1093 he granted the rent of one burgage in the town of Brecon to the Brecon Priory as part of Bernard de Neufmarche's foundation charter. There was also a property document in the Department of Calvados, Normandy to which Robert Devereux was a witness.^[a] He married an unknown woman, and had at least one son, Reginald, who paid to claim his lands in 1131^[b] A Robert Devereux is also witness to a charter by William de Waldebeof to the Brecon Priory dated to the mid-12th century.^[1]

Richard Devereux

Richard was a member of the clergy. His death was entered in the Hereford Cathedral Obituary Book on 15 May 1141.^[2]^[c]

Robert and possibly Reginald may be the subjects of their own articles. But the information on Richard would need some proved relationship to William for inclusion. Thanks Bear♦patch talk 16:39, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Walter Devereux, Lord of Lyonshall, can't be William's son[edit]

"Walter Devereux, Lord of Lyonshall", is listed as one of William's children. But Walter's article is titled Walter Devereux (born 1173) and says his father was John Devereux (died 1187). Even John might have been too young to be one of William's children. Can the sources reveal the real line from William to Walter? Robin Patterson (talk) 21:59, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
