Yolande Palfrey appeared as Juliet in the BBC's 1979 version of Measure for Measure: see [1]. The cast list is also available on the DVD, of course. However, the last time I looked at IMDb, it was incorrectly crediting the part to Yolanda Vasquez, a younger South American actress who was probably at school at the time. Reports of Death[edit]

There have been uncorroberated reports of Yolande Palfrey's death on 9th April 2011 of cancer, aged 54.

My sister is one of her oldest friends - they were at school together and have been in contact ever since - and attended her funeral in Sussex on 20th April. The death has been registered, so I imagine it is on the Register of Births, marriages and deaths. Yolande Palfrey was last living in a hospice in Esher, Surrey.

Until this is investigated by a professional reporter, and the news published, this report should be seen in the context I offer it. I do hope my old friend will rise from her grave and produce evidence that such reports are greatly exaggerated.
