Template talk:Simonverse
Inclusion of books with unclear connections to the Creekwood/Simon series[edit]
The pages for The Hate U Give, Dear Martin, On the Come Up, and Concrete Rose have no mention of the "Simonverse," Simon, or Becky Albertali anywhere in their prose; the only place that it appears is in this template (which is included on all four pages). The Simonverse page was redirected in a December 2022 AfD, where the primary concern was sourcing. As far as I understand it, the connection between these books and the books by Albertali primarily comes from tweets by the authors (e.g. [1]); the sourcing on the page before it was redirected ([2]) doesn't actually seem sufficient to support the connection to Nic Stone's work at all.
As-is this template implies an association that isn't being stated anywhere. It seems that either this connection should be included (properly sourced) on those four pages or the books should be removed from this template and the template removed from those four pages. I'm curious what editors with more knowledge of these series feel is appropriate here. Dylnuge (Talk • Edits) 21:19, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
