The M121 was a straight four-cylinder engine made by Mercedes-Benz during the 1950s and 1960s and used in their mid-size sedans, such as the 190, and in the 190 SL convertible. The crankshaft was carried by three main bearings. In the 190 SL, the engine had two parallel carburetors.
