Luke Messer (born December, 1988) is an American student currently attending the University of Arizona located in Tucson, Arizona since August 2016. Currently, Luke is in the process to obtain his undergraduate degree. His major is in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and taking a minor in Urban Development. He is trying to mirror Elon Musk's wiki page and you could say he also admires Mr. Musk.

Early Life[edit]

Childhood[edit]

Luke was born in Philomath, Oregon as an only child. When his parents divorced around the year of 1995, Luke moved to Placerville, California with his father. After a couple years living in Placerville, Luke's father re-married and relocated into a new home with a step-mom, step-brother, and step-sister.

At the age of 15, Messer got his first job at the Eagle Rib Shack located in Eagle, Idaho when his father and step-mother decided to relocate to Boise, Idaho. After spending one year as a junior at Eagle High School, Messer decided to move out of his father's house and relocate himself back in Placerville to graduate his senior year at Union Mine High School in 2007.

In 2007, Luke moves to Benson, Arizona in order to be near his mother due to Luke's step-father passing away from a heart attack at the age of 42. His step-father played a huge role in Luke's decision to start team roping and work for his friend's concrete and masonry company.

Luke was the youngest child of the two other siblings; however, in 2009 Luke's step-mom passed away from colon cancer. He no longer is in contact with his step-siblings nor most of the family members.

Education[edit]

In 2010-2011 at the age of 20, Luke started higher education at Cochise College where he completed 11 months of 64 credit hours to achieve his Avionics Technology Certificate, along with, three Federal Communications Commission FCC licenses: Element 1: Radio Law, Element 3: General Radio Telephone, Element 8: Radar Endorsement. In that same year, Luke and his now wife, moved to Boise, Idaho to work for Micron Technology. After 2 years in Boise, his mother-in-law became ill; therefore, him and his wife moved back to Benson, Arizona.

In 2015, Messer went back to Cochise College where he successfully completed two Associate of Applied Science degrees: Electronics Technology and Avionics Technology.

In 2016, Luke completed his Associate Science degree for his General Studies which transferred him into the University of Arizona as a junior.

Career[edit]

At Micron Luke was a physical vapor deposition and chemical vapor deposition (PCVDI) Manufacturing Technician where he researched and analyzed 300mm wafer chip Semiconductors process and development. He worked in an R&D cleanroom and or an Electro-Static Discharge ESD sensitive environment monitoring Real Time ISV status within command center interface while working alongside engineers and their requests.

Messer executed parameters of the Army Ground/Aviation Integrated Network Evaluation ((AGAINE)) at ManTech_International and operated/maintained military Joint Tactical Radio System JTRS Ground Mobile Radio (GMR) collecting data to verify operations and abilities of the wideband network waveform.

Most recently, Luke read and interpreted wiring diagrams and technical publications to fabricate, prototype, assemble troubleshoot repairs, inspect, modified and serviced aircraft. Performing and documenting all work per appropriate manuals and regulations as required. Designated services for Delta Express, American Express, and Alaskan Airlines. Performing required duties on CRJ 200, CRJ 700, and CRJ 900 series serving as a contractor for SkyWest Airlines.

Political Positions[edit]

Messer does not affiliate much with Republican or Democrat politics. However, he will vote next week.

Opinions[edit]

Messer believes there will be a higher education bubble bust similar to the Financial crisis of 2007–2008.

Also, Luke is certain the Arizona Prop 205 will pass reflecting the Arizona Proposition 203 (2010). As such, Supreme Pharmaceuticals will be leading the expansive hydroponic agriculture market similar to BrightFarms.

Personal Life[edit]

Currently, Luke commutes to the University of Arizona from Benson, Arizona. He works two jobs and tries his best to spend time with his family whenever he can get it. Not much of a personal life; however, this is the college lifestyle. School=Study=Grades=Accomplishment.

Awards and Recognition[edit]

  • In 2012, Luke received a Process R&D - Reward and Recognition Certificate from Micron
  • In 2016, Messer was accepted the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship Award
