Please note, though, that material edits, especially those which change long-established consensus, are best discussed first, on the article's talk page. Ulster Scots is a complex topic, and the official position has to be considered, that being (per HMG) Northern Ireland Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure: Ulster Scots is "the local variety of the Scots language." - and (per international treaty) in an Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of Ireland ... 8th day of March 1999 ... : "Ullans" is to be understood as the variety of the Scots language traditionally found in parts of Northern Ireland and Donegal.
