I don't understand your message to me.

I was trying to correct the obviously incorrect information I found in the "Illness and death" section.

Her cancer, birth of a son and death all occurred in 2015. Yet, in this section there are two mistakes: "January 2014" and "April 2013". In both cases the year is incorrect.

Here is the section:

On 20 January 2014, her husband, Dmitry Shepelev, announced via Friske's website that Friske had been diagnosed with cancer.

Other sites reported that Friske had been diagnosed with a stage IV glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumor. She was diagnosed with cancer two months prior to giving birth to her child. She was offered chemotherapy during her pregnancy but she refused treatment to save her baby.

In April 2013 she gave birth to a son. Her cancer worsened, and, on 15 June 2015, she died at age 40.

Since I'm using Wikipedia often, I just wanted to contribute by fixing a glaring mistake.

And the result is that you call my action "vandalism"...

Please review the sources cited in the article. If her son had not been born until 2015, it would not have been possible for this to be posted in 2013 or this in 2014, which reports the 2013 birth. Her husband waited until 2014 to announce her 2013 cancer diagnosis to the public. General Ization ^Talk 14:56, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If what you're saying is correct, the person who wrote the "Illness and death" section did a bad job, because the paragraph is confusing.

If the dates are correct, in my opinion the paragraph should be re-arranged, like this:

You should not change content here to disagree with the cited sources, even if you find the content confusing. Changing the year that the child was born to 2015 was simply wrong when the child was born in 2013. Rearranging the content for readability is something else altogether. As for the warning I left you, it is a standard template, reflects the fact that I cannot possibly know your intent in changing the content to introduce incorrect information, and clearly states: "If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again."
