If I have one piece of constructive criticism, it is the need to cite where you got the material from. A reference section is crucial to a good article, coupled with some external links (if you have any); it provides people (i.e. me) to seek out more information on the subjects. Thanks for uploading Image:Jean Francaix.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

- The image hasn't been deleted yet, but it is now fair game for the first admin that comes along. Also, it's tagged as an album cover, but doesn't look like one (at least at first glance). Could you please add a note to the image page and say where it's from, why it's not taking away from anyone's commercial use (ie that it's not from a picture library), and why it isn't replaceable with a free image. Proposed deletion of Farm Journal[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cyril B Rootham.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en
wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en

As the grandson of Cyril Rootham, I would really like to thank Gruesome Pet for creating the original article back in 2006. But I also have an apology to offer. Today I received a copy of a doctoral dissertation about Cyril Rootham's Op.51 "For the Fallen", and in this dissertation I am named as the author of the Cyril Rootham Wikipedia entry - which I clearly am not (nor ever claimed to be). In all other respects, the dissertation is really interesting, so I will be making it available on the rootham.org website. Of course I will accompany this with a disclaimer making it clear that I didn't author the original Wikipedia article. So I hope that you will accept this apology, and accept my thanks. And incidentally, I am happy to offer permission to use photographs of Cyril Rootham as explained on the Photos page of the rootham.org website. Dan rootham (talk) 00:23, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
