Stony (rapper)[edit]

An artist changing his name is no uncontroversial deletion, which is what the {{prod}} template is for. Hence I have removed it. Kleuske (talk) 23:42, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

February 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, JPFBTalentAgency. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Stony (rapper), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "JPFBTalentAgency", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it's the name of a company. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Kleuske (talk) 23:42, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Stony Blyden[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Stony Blyden. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Stony (rapper). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Stony (rapper) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. RA0808 talkcontribs 18:00, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Happysailor. I noticed that in this edit to Stony (rapper), you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Happysailor (Talk) 18:04, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

February 2017[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 18:42, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

We're just trying to get his last name added. From Stony_(Rapper) to Stony Blyden since he's not a "rapper" but an actor. We don't want people confusing him the other Stony who actually is in the hip hop industry. JPFBTalentAgency (talk) 01:37, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That does not address your promotional username. What would you change your account name to if you were unblocked? —C.Fred (talk) 01:43, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

We would change our username to avoid any further confusion. We're just trying to get the artist linked up to the right page. Thank you. JPFBTalentAgency (talk) 02:38, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Please follow the instructions in the block message for requesting a new username. Also, please note that a Wikipedia account is for a single individual only, and group accounts are not allowed - so there can be no "we" connected with this account, and you would need to make it clear that only one individual will operate it. Finally, any editing will need to be done in accordance with Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest guidelines explained at WP:COI. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:58, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
