Hello, on the official site names it "Long Term File System" http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/storage/tape/ltfs/index.html

On the LTFS Format Specification document the expansion is "Linear Tape File System". I am an author of the Format Specification document and development lead for the IBM implementation of LTFS so I am aware of the two names in use. The format specification document is published by a standards consortium at http://www.trustlto.com/index.html. IBM's "Long Term File System" product is just one possible implementation of the Linear Tape File System specification. As such, I believe that this page should describe the Linear Tape File System and include a reference that IBM's implementation of the Linear Tape File System is named "Long Term File System".

Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is IPv6: 2606:54C0:76C0:D28:0:0:1D2:15 IPv4: 104.28.116.160. These IP addresses are assigned by Comcast from their address pool for residential Internet connections. Mrichmon (talk) 04:12, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Both IPs are on ranges that have been globally locked across all Wikimedia projects. So, it's not just impractical, but impossible for me to lift them from here.

However, you're not blocked, and it looks like you've edited without incident during the six years you were occasionally active. So, you can not ohly edit from other IPs, you can go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow the directions to request IP block exemption so this won't be an issue. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:38, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
