Proposed deletion of Stanky legg[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Stanky legg, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a manual or a guide on how to do something. See WP:NOT

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Stanky legg[edit]

I have nominated Stanky legg, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stanky legg. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. January 2009[edit]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Stanky legg. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. I may have misunderstood the language on the deletion notice. I believe it stated that if the page was corrected or edited to meet criteria that the notice could be removed. Is this incorrect? --Offchance (talk) 16:17, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

From the template on the article: Feel free to edit the article, but the article must not be blanked, and this notice must not be removed, until the discussion is closed. , the only template you can remove is the PROD, which I will remove as redundant. Do not delete the AfD template. --Terrillja talk 16:19, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The file File:Maine-coon.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Low-quality, unused cat photo; many free alternatives exist

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
